Mudassir Shah is a founder of Awshta and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. He leads the company's technology direction: software engineering, platform architecture, the web and mobile products, backend systems and technical strategy.
Awshta runs as several connected products rather than a single website — a customer-facing storefront, a mobile application, a dashboard sellers use to run their business, and the REST API and database underneath that hold the catalogue, orders, payments and delivery records together. Keeping those consistent, fast and safe to change is the core of the engineering work.
As one of three owners, Mudassir's involvement is not limited to writing software. Awshta is a multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace in Pakistan. Customers browse listings from independent sellers, add items to a cart, check out, track their orders and leave reviews; sellers list and manage products, handle incoming orders and run their business through a seller dashboard. Delivery and payments are handled through the platform.
